Tshela Healthcare is a healthcare provider that improves health outcomes by providing preventative healthcare.

Tshela meaning “Live” was founded in 2010 by Dr Tshegofatso Gopane in the Northern Cape. Tshela Healthcare was established out of a need to serve the local community and has since grown to be a national organisation providing healthcare to numerous stakeholders in the government, corporate and medical aid industry. Areas of focus are health, education, and community development projects.

Our Accreditation

Tshela Healthcare is accredited with the Employee Assistance Professionals Association of South Africa (EAPA-SA). EAPA is a large and well respected association for employee assistance professionals.

Tshela Healthcare is a proud member and affiliated with the EAPA-SA Egoli branch, to which one of our team members is an active member of the working committee.

We are also registered as a corporate member with the South African Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (SAIOSH).

SAIOSH upgrade professional skills of its members by keeping them updated and informed on the latest developments in the field of Occupational Health and Safety.

Tshela Healthcare is also registered with the Health and Welfare Sector Education and Training Academy (HWSETA). They are responsible for the education, training and skills development requirements of the health, social development, and veterinary sectors.

Our Capability & Infrastructure

Technology

Tshela Healthcare makes use of sophisticated technologies to ensure business efficiency and that best practices are maintained. Such technologies are O!Connect telephony system, a bespoke management system called the Tshela Management System (TMS), an Interactive Voice Response, a fully integrated NICE call recording system, as well as a disaster recovery plan that adheres to the ISO 27001 ICT Security Framework.

Technology has been rapidly growing. Tshela Healthcare has ensured that we make it inevitable to the business operations to enhance the agility and scalability, drive operational excellence and provide excellent service to our clients as efficiently as possible.

We have enhanced systems for data analysis, business intelligence tools and business process management. Data Management and Information Security is a priority, and our systems minimise any cyber threat and or data theft.

Care Centre

Tshela Healthcare has developed a sophisticated call centre dubbed the “care centre” is equipped with experienced admin and healthcare professionals, who operate six days a week. Our care centre is also set up virtually so we can continue to service our clients during a pandemic.

Mobile Clinic

Our mobile clinic is fully equipped with all the necessary resources to conduct health and wellbeing screening services at clients desired locations.

Care Centre

Quality within the care centre is paramount to the success of the business. Continuous training, monitoring, evaluation and on the job coaching is conducted to ensure service excellence.

Data & Reporting

We have controls in place to ensure compliance with various acts like POPI and additional quality assurance measures for every data we share with other SPN’s, this is ensured by our highly skilled data and reporting team. Automated processes go through various quality assurance steps thus reducing the likelihood of human error.

Compliance

There is continuous audit and document keeping to ensure compliance with different regulations e.g PPE being reviewed to meet safety standards and where necessary replaced. Our staff is trained on the proper use of PPE and educated on signs of defective PPE and the importance of reporting these defects.

The Protection of Personal Information Act (“POPIA”) is a South Africa law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within South Africa. Our People

Our skilled, collaborative, and passionate team of administrators, healthcare providers (midwives, nurses, doctors) and other highly skilled professionals are the primary reason we execute diligently and efficiently.

We currently have two regional branches, one being in the Northern Cape, and the other in Johannesburg. The Northern Cape branch offers face-to-face sessions providing several preventative screenings (such as cervical and COVID-19), various medical consultations and project management services. The Johannesburg branch provides a supportive role to our clients offering health and wellbeing tele-care services.
