What We Do - Managed Care | Tshela Healthcare

Managed Care

Tshela Healthcare has the ability and capability of running state of the art programmes facilitated by professionally skilled healthcare workers and support teams to ensure optimal and improved health outcomes.

Maternity Programmes

Supporting organisations and/or Medical Schemes manage the risks of pregnancy.

Currently, Tshela Healthcare runs a national Maternity Programme six days a week by an experienced and passionate team of administrators and healthcare practitioners who are registered nursing sisters specialising in midwifery.

The Programme aims to ensure that the expectant mother receives access to the best advisory services during their pregnancy through supportive telecare and informative correspondence to ensure that the journey to motherhood is safe for mom and baby.

The supportive care is to help the expectant mother make informed choices and take better care of themselves during this time. If the expectant mother has pregnancy-associated risks, the Maternity Programme will support them in managing these risks and aid in reducing any possible complications.

Logistically, the team co-ordinates the safe and timeous delivery of a maternity gift bag to the expectant mothers preferred delivery address before the birth of the baby.

Disease Management | Tshela Healthcare

Disease Management

Certain conditions (diabetes, heart diseases, communicable diseases like TB or COVID, HIV, asthma, influenza, and obesity) require regular monitoring, interventions, and critical and specialised support for an extensive period. Without this, many managed conditions may become life-threatening.

Tshela Healthcare offers programmes that evaluate, screen, co-ordinate, provide support, educate, and administer certain interventions and provide resources to people that have various chronic conditions. These programmes will enable patients to make the appropriate lifestyle changes so they can live an improved lifestyle and manage their condition better.

Through chronic disease management programmes, you can:

  • Improve the quality of life
  • Improve health outcomes
  • Improve compliance with treatment regimens
  • Improve utilisation of existing and available resources
  • Reduce healthcare costs
